On March 8, 2023, we had an AMA with Mises. This project was the main focus of this AMA session. During this AMA, we received some amazing questions from the public. Mises also provided thorough project descriptions to the broader public. Let’s read this article to get a better understanding of what the AMA is saying.

Aurority: Hi guys, I’m Landon community builder with Aurority. We update the latest information on Aurora about the ecosystem, analyze data, analyze projects, provide instructional content, and support users on how to use and integrate into the ecosystem. Welcome to a wonderful AMA with Mises Browser Can you introduce a little bit about yourself, the project and the members?
Mises: My name is Luke. I’m the head of the community in Mises. I have been working in the crypto industry since 2018, developing a crypto community, and acquired 3m users in the past.

“What is the underlying technology used in the Mises Browser and how does it work? What are the technical features and how do they differ from other web browsers?”
Mises: Two types of technology:
1. blockchain technology.
2. non-blockchain technology.
For blockchain technology, our project is based on Cosmos SDK. For non-blockchain technology, chromium kernel.
About our differentiation from other browsers:
1. Kiwi is not focused on Web3, mises optimized performance for partners’ Dapps and extensions.
2. Brave is not open as Mises, you can only use brave wallet.

“How does the your browser integrate with other tools and services to provide a seamless and secure browsing experience for users?”
Mises: For partners’ Dapps and extensions, our team optimized their performance.
Question 3 from maxone.lens
“I’ve tried the browser on my phone, this is a light browser application, and my question is, besides metamask, what are the supported wallet for the extension wallet inside the app? How safe is the browser for the user’s mobile phone?”
Mises: You used our IOS version. On the Android version, you can download any extensions from the Google web store. About the security, we’re open-sourced and based on chromium. Basically same as using chrome+extension on a PC.

“Considering that Mises Browser allows the use of browser extensions and these applications are susceptible to hacker attacks, how does it keeps the security of its users from hackers?
Mises: Cannot prevent hackers to hack a wallet, what we’re doing is preventing hackers got your seed phrase. We’re testing and optimizing phishing site detection to detect phishing sites in this. We’re implementing contract address and wallet address detection in Mises.

“Thank you Aurora and Mises for this learning opportunity. I would like to know how this project to combine a browser and blockchain come about what technology is used to keep your users safe?”
Mises: Right now the combination between the browser and mises chain is not closed yet. In the future with mises address you can use a decentralized storage system, .mis domain, and decentralized VPN in the future. You can also generate missed revenue by providing services to others.

“What are your long term goals as a web3 browser? Do you plan to launch other products and services aside from your browser?”
Mises: In the long term, we want to become a Web3 portal. If you want to use Web3 you can find anything you need in our browser. And we want our users to have the best Web3 experience on mobile. About other products, we’re building a decentralized storage system, we’re going to launch the .mis domain name. Also, we’ll implement crypto-to-fiat and fiat-to-crypto services in a short time.

“Apart from the your browser extension wallet, is there any web3 Wallet app that already supports the Mises chain? How many wallet ? Or are you only focused on developing your own wallet? Thanks.”
Mises: No. Our chain is based on cosmos SDK, it’s a new chain, so right now no other wallets support our chain. you can only use mises wallet in its browser. We don’t need this wallet to have too many features, users can use wallets from other blockchains on mises. We would rather keep it simple and secure.

“Your project is the fastest mobile 3.0 browser. How do you intend to compete with giants like Google Chrome, Opera or Microsoft edge that are currently dominated by browsers? Do you think you will be the first browser that comes to mind when a search engine is tried in the future?”
Mises: for the first question, the Web3 browser is a small market for giants. we have our own value proposition so we’re not worried about the Opera web3 browser. About the second question, yes, right now on Twitter if you search Web3 browser, we are at the top of the result.

“In your roadmap it says Q1 you will release NFT, can you tell us a little bit about the topic that you are aiming for in this release?”
Mises: In the future when our decentralized storage system is ready, no one without your private key can delete your content. We’ve integrated social media into the Mises browser, and in the future, it will go completely decentralized. We’re doing research about VPN right now, our first choice is a decentralized VPN, so anyone who is willing to provide service will generate revenue.

“How does the Mises Browser ensure that users have control over their browsing data and privacy settings?”
Mises: In the future we’ll develop an on-chain version of the Google account. you can store your data and privacy setting on chain encrypted.
